MINOCAME ↓この記事を書いた１年半後の’２３年７月にようやくアポズミ３５ｍｍを手にしました。いやぁ〜長かった。
今まで使ってきているLeicaのレンズは球面のSummilux 35mmと50mm。先月、私にとっては人生初となるライカのASPHレンズをLeica Store Kyotoにてオーダーした。
Leica M11 Monochromeがいずれリリースされるのに合わせて、Leicaの最新のASPHレンズを一本購入しようと考えた。APO Summicron 50mmにするか35mmにするかで大いに悩んだが、35mmを選んだ。理由は；
- 住んでいる京都の町は細い路地が多い。最初のASPHはより広角の方がよいと考えた。
- 最短撮影距離が、ライカM型用レンズとしては史上初めて30cmを実現。我が家のグレクロ（猫たち）にグッと寄って撮ったり、お店や自宅で小物や飲食関連を近づいて撮る時に便利そう。
現在、Leica M3 + Summilux 35mm （球面）の組み合わせは、風景撮影でもよく使うので、Leicaのデジタル機にこのレンズを合わせた場合でも、もちろん風景ほかその他色々な場面で使ってみたいと思っている。
というわけで、私にとって人生初となるLeica製のASPHレンズは、APO-Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPHを選ぶことにした。
Leica M11 Monochromeがリリースされるのはきっとまだまだかなり先と思われる。2024年になってもまだ市場には出てこないかも。だったら、それに合わせる最新レンズは何も今買わなくたって、もっと後から購入すればよいではないかとも思うわけだが、アポズミ35mmを今オーダーしたらいつ入荷するかとLeica Store Kyotoの方に確認したら、半年いや場合によってはもっと長い期間待つことになるとのこと．．．．．。Leicaのレンズはハンドメイドと思っているし、相当に世界中で人気のレンズとなっているようなので、それだけ待たされるのは仕方がないことだし、またそれだけ待ってでも欲しいと思う。
今オーダーしてアポズミ35mmが手元に届く間によぉ〜く考える。Leica M11 Monochromeが市場に出るまで我慢するか、それとも今すぐに手に入るM10 Monochromeにするか．．．．．さてどっちがよいか。
ご近所のLeica Store Kyotoでは、過去にレリーズボタンとか扇子とか購入したことがあったが、レンズやカメラを購入したことはない。これから先、Leica関係の新品は全てLeica Store Kyotoで購入したいと思っているが、その第一弾がAPO-Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPHとなる。
オーダーしたが、支払いは現物がStoreに届いてからということで、本日は注文書に記入したのみ。
Leica M11 Monochromeのリリースを待つか、現行のM10 Monochromeをすぐに購入するかアポズミ35㎜が手元に届くまで楽しい悩みが続くわけであるが、この最新レンズはもちろんデジタル機だけではなくM型のフィルムカメラにだって使える。
私の場合は、2011年からLeica M3を使い続けているので、従来のレンズと合わせてAPO-Summicron-M 35mm も使ってみたい。最新レンズで撮ったフィルムからバライタ紙に引き伸ばした場合従来のレンズで撮った場合とどう変わってくるのか比較するのも楽しそうだ。
Has used Summilux 35mm & 50mm Pre-ASPH with Leica M3 since 2011. Ordered my 1st ASPH lens at Leica Store Kyoto.
Launching Leica M11 Monochrome must be still long time ahead thought, I would like to get ASPH lens of Leica to draw out the best performance. I was troubled quite very much to select APO Summicron 50mm or 35mm. Then finally selected APO-Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPH. The reasons are;
- There are a lot of narrow streets in my living place, Kyoto. It is better to use wider angle lens.
- The shortest photographic distance is 30cm. As the lens for Leica M series, it is the shortest. Can enjoy more the shooting of my cats at home and various product photo.
If the release of Leica M11 Monochome is still ahead, why I buy the lens for this enclosed model now? APO Summicron lenses are quite popular with a lot of Leica freaks. Then the products of Leica are almost all hand-made. It takes longer time to produce a lens. Leica Store Kyoto told me that I must wait a least 6 months or even longer time to get it. That’s why I bought APO-Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPH now. Until the fine product reach me, I still consider which I should select the present available model, M10 Monochrome or the enclosed model, M11 Monochrome.
Although I bought several accessories, I’ve never orders lens and camera at Leica Store Kyoto. This is the 1st time for me to order. Used lens and camera are different story. But in case of new products, from now, I will buy at Leica Store only.
After APO-Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPH reach my hands, of course, I would like to use it with my film camera, Leica M3 too. It’s is very curious to enjoy the difference of printing between my conventional Pre-ASPH lenses and this ASPH lens.
