京都のパン屋さん（６）：Briant

北山の美味しい朝食パン

　Briant Toast (ブリアン・トースト)。京都で見つけた美味しい朝食パンです。

色々試した結果の一つに

　２０１５年に京都に移り住んで以来、市内の色々なパン屋さんに行って色々なパンを購入して試してみた。そうしているうちに、カミさんと私自身が共通して美味いと思える朝食用のパンが段々固まってきた。トーストした後で、内側もっちりとして腰があって、外側はサクサクで少し固めで麦本来の味が楽しめるあまり色々なものを混ぜ込んでいないシンプルなパンが朝食用として好み。現在４つのパン屋さんのトーストでローテーションを組んでいる。

　ブリアントーストは、そのローテンションのうちの一つ。Briantの本店は地下鉄の北山駅の４番出口から近い。北山通りを挟んで南側は京都府立植物園。

　僕らは、四条の大丸の地下で購入することが多い。

After many of trials since 2015

　Since we moved into Kyoto in 2015, my wife and I tried a lot of breads in Kyoto city. As the breakfast toast with specially hand made ceramic grill by Kanaamitsuji, we like that inside keep a feeling of chewy, while the crust is crispy with relatively harder feeling. Finally we selected the 5 bread shops to buy the bread for breakfast and alternate them. Briant near the subway station of Kitayama, located just beside Kyoto Botanical Gardens, is one of our alternatives.
